The J scale is a cube scale, raising values
from the C scale to the third power, or taking the cube root
of a value on the J scale reading the root from the C
scale. This scale is located on the slide, and used
with the C scale. This scale is identical to the K
scale used with the D scale. Formula: J = X³ |

The JI scale is reciprocal cube scale,
located on the slide and used with the C scale. The JI
scale is identical to the KI scaled used with the D scale. Formula: JI = 1 / X³ |
